What facilities are available at 121 Studios, and how much time is included at each membership level?

Reservable facilities and resources include the sound studio, photo/video production space, video editing suite, prototyping “fab lab” and conference room. Maker members are allotted 5 hours of studio time per month across all facilities, while Creative members receive 10 hours per month for each facility.

How do members reserve studio time?

Creative and Maker members reserve studio time using a self-serve, online appointment calendar. Studio time is scheduled on a first come, first served basis.

Is there storage available for members?

121 Studios has a small supply of lockers available on a first come, first served basis.

I want to join the community but I don’t need space to work. What are my options?

The Community membership is the perfect match for you needs! In addition to becoming a member of the UnLondon community, you’ll have access to UnLondon’s gear library (LCD projectors, screen, portable audio recorders, a/v cables and adapters, etc.), member-only meetups, program and event discounts and more!

Can I get my mail delivered to 121 Studios?

Yes, Creative & Maker memberships can request a complimentary mailbox. UnLondon staff sort and distribute mail on a daily basis.

Is there a minimum commitment for any of the membership packages?

All memberships operate on a month-to-month basis. We only require a minimum 30 days notice in writing to terminate Creative, Maker or Community membership.

What payment methods are accepted, and when are membership fees due?

Credit card payment is strongly preferred. Membership fees are collected on a recurring basis on the 1st day of each month.

I would like to try out 121 Studios before committing to a membership. Do you offer a trial period or daypass?

Yes! Hot Desk access is available to individuals and businesses at a daily rate of $20 + HST per person. Limited trial use of studio spaces -- including photo, video and sound studios -- is available to non-members Monday-Friday, 10am-6pm, pending availability, at a rate of $25/hr + HST.  Non-member trial access at this special rate is suspended after three studio reservations.

Can I share my membership with a colleague or friend?

Creative and Maker Memberships are designed for individuals, but we are more than happy to offer a discounts to startups or small businesses. We also have private office spaces available, suitable for teams of 2-10. Please contact info@unlondon.ca for more information. Community memberships are available at both an individual and group rate.

Can I put my membership on hold?

If you are planning to withdraw for more than 30 days, UnLondon will waive the setup fee if you reactivate your Creative or Maker membership within 3 months. After 3 months, you will have to re-register as a new member. Community Membership cannot be put on hold. 

I am an emerging retailer looking for space. What’s the deal with your retail program, and how do I sign up?

121 Studios is home to the UnLondon Retail Accelerator Program. The program is a 6 month term which includes retail space, access to monthly business seminars and one-on-one mentorship with a qualified leader in the community.
